Buttermilk Syrup

This recipe is from Magleby's restaurant.  Serve it over pumpkin pancakes for a truly decadent meal.

½ c. butter                     
1 c. sugar
½ c. buttermilk
Boil together for 1 minute

Add:
1 tsp. baking soda         
1 tsp. vanilla
